COLUMBUS, Ohio – Start times have been set by the Big Ten Conference for two more 2011 Ohio State football games. The season opener Sept. 3 vs. Akron at Ohio Stadium and the second game of the season, Sept. 10 vs. Toledo at Ohio Stadium, will each start at 12 noon (EDT).

ESPN or ESPN2 will carry the Akron game – the first for new head coach Luke Fickell – and the Big Ten Network will broadcast the game with Toledo.

Five of Ohio State’s 2011 games now have start times. Start times previously announced include:

  • The Sept. 17 Ohio State at Miami (Fla.) game – 7:30 or 8 p.m. on ABC or ESPN;
  • The Oct. 8 Ohio State at Nebraska game – 8 p.m. on ABC, ESPN or ESPN2; and
  • The Oct. 29 Ohio State vs. Wisconsin game at Ohio Stadium – 8 p.m. on ABC, ESPN or ESPN2.

No additional pre-selection of 2011 football games’ start times is expected, according to the Big Ten Conference. The start times for Ohio State’s other seven games will be revealed once the usual and customary six- and 12-day process kicks in starting with the games the week of Sept. 24.
