COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s track and field program competed in day one of the 2020 Indoor Big Ten Championships in Geneva, Ohio. The Buckeyes were able to collect one third place medal in the women’s pentathlon and qualified 12 athletes into finals on Saturday, Feb. 28.
First year Buckeyes, Emma Nwofor claimed the first medal of the championships by taking third in the women’s pentathlon. Her 4113 point finish puts her at the top of the Ohio State record book. The women’s distance medley claimed fourth with a combined time of 11:19.33. The team was made up of Abby Nichols, Mary Figler, Gia Napoleon and Lainey Studebaker.
