2019-20 Visual Year in Review

Although 2019-20 came to a premature and abrupt halt, freezing the winter sports in the height of their postseasons and stripping spring sports of the majority of their campaigns, there are once again countless accomplishments to celebrate by our more than 1,000 Buckeyes student-athletes.

🏆 Championship Programs 🏆

Dance Team

🏆 D1A Jazz National Champions

The Buckeye dance team won the 2020 D1A Jazz National Championship and claimed a silver medal in the Pom category.


Ohio State Buckeyes


🏆 Midwest Fencing Conference Champions

The men’s squad swept the team competition to earn the MFC championship trophy, and the women’s squad avenged their 2019 MFC second-place finish by beating No. 9 Northwestern in the finals. Additionally, the Buckeyes claimed all six weapons titles.



🏆 Big Ten Champions

After defeating Wisconsin in the B1G Championship, the Buckeyes fought valiantly in the College Football Playoff before falling to Clemson in the Fiesta Bowl.

Numerous student-athletes achieved recognition on the conference and national award circuits.


Women’s Hockey

🏆 WCHA Tournament Champions

After two overtime thrillers in as many days, Ohio State women’s ice hockey won the program’s first Western Collegiate Hockey Association Championship.


Women's Swimming & Diving

🏆 Big Ten Champions

The Ohio State women’s swimming and diving program claimed the 2020 Big Ten Women’s Swimming and Diving Championship. The title marks the Buckeyes’ sixth in program history and the first since 1986.


Women's Track & Field

🏆 Big Ten Champions

The Ohio State women’s track and field program claimed four Big Ten event titles and registered four top three finishes to capture its second consecutive Big Ten Title.
