AUSTIN, Texas – The final day of the 2019 NCAA Division I Outdoor Championships are amongst us. The competition will end with the women’s last section of the meet. The Championships are hosted by the University of Texas and will be a true test of the Buckeyes progression and hard work throughout this season. Senior Julia Rizk and Junior Abby Nichols will compete on the final day and attempt to secure a National Title. Rizk will compete at 6:41 p.m. ET in the 1,500m run and Nichols will take on the 5k at a projected time of 8:25 p.m. ET.
Julia Rizk comes into the final day of the Championships as the Indoor Big Ten Champion in the mile, National Indoor Champion in the mile and the school record holder in both the mile (4:32.79), 1,500m run (4:13.70) and runner up in the 1,500m at the 2019 outdoor Big Ten Championships.
Abby Nichols enters tonight’s competition as the Big Ten Outdoor Champion in the 5,000m. The 5k specialist is the school record holder in both indoor (16:14.00) and outdoor (15:56.52s) for the Buckeyes.
