This week, 15 members of the Ohio State baseball program were named to the Academic All-Big Ten Team.
To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten selection, student-athletes must be on a varsity team, as verified by being on the official squad list, who have been enrolled full-time at the institution for a minimum of 12 months and carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.
Co-captain Griffan Smith (Logistics Management) earned the award for the fourth time in his career.
Fellow captain Zach Dezenzo (Kinesiology masters) along with Marcus Ernst (Finance), Nolan Clegg (Air Transportation), William Pfennig (Finance) and Mitch Milheim (Mechanical Engineering) have all earned the award for the third time.
The second year honorees are Joey Aden (sport industry), Nate Karaffa (Operations Management), Tyler Kean (Finance), Caden Kaiser (Sport Industry), Mitchell Okuley (Mechanical Engineering), Casey Maniglia (Accounting).
Tim Baird (Finance), Kade Kern (Sport Industry) and Garrett Peters (Sport Industry) all earned the honor for the first time.
