COLUMBUS, Ohio – The United State Olympic Trials are upon us and 12 Ohio State University men’s and women’s swimmers will be competing this weekend, June 4-7, in Omaha, Neb., during the Wave I competition. The trials are being held at the CHI Health Center, in Omaha.

The trials are being split into a Wave I and a Wave II trials this year because of the Covid-19 pandemic, according to USA Swimming.

The Buckeyes will be competing during this Wave I competition in a prelims-finals format. The top two finishers in each event this week will advance to the Wave II trials, to be held June 13-20, and from which the 2021 U.S. Olympic team to the Tokyo Olympics will be selected.

Six Buckeyes have already been invited to the Wave II trials: Hunter Armstrong, Hannah Bach, Charlie Clark, Jason Mathews, Hudson McDaniel and Evan McFadden.

Omaha is hosting the U.S. Olympic swimming trials for a fourth consecutive time. The event will be held in long course meters.
