Class includes student-athletes from seven different states and seven club programs
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ten high school seniors have signed National Letters of Intent to further their academic and athletic careers with the Ohio State University field hockey program. Fifth-year Ohio State head coach Jarred Martin announced the class today.
“I am excited to welcome the class of 2026 to the Buckeye Field Hockey Program,” head coach Jarred Martin said. “I see a group of young women with a bright future. They all share a common belief to give their full effort, be a great person/teammate, and leave a lasting legacy within this OSU Field Hockey Program. Hailing from some of the top high school programs and club teams in the country – this group has experienced championship level success both within their high school environment and their club.”
The newest Buckeyes come from seven different states and include Zella Bailey (Virginia Beach, Va.), Holland Bell (Dublin, Ohio), Jessica Courtright (Ann Arbor, Mich.), MaKayla Carahaly (Morgantown, Pa.), Kelly Davis (Delmar, Dela.), Katie Fitchner (Harwood, Md.), Riley Hudson (Medford, N.J.), Loryn Jordon (Owings Mill, Md.), Lindsey Roberts (Downington, Pa.) and Olivia Wallace (Virginia Beach, Va.).
“I want to thank my staff for helping to piece together this amazing group,” Martin said. “Hours of observing, visits, planning, and more went into finding the best student-athletes in the country. I am excited to see what the new buckeyes will be able to accomplish during their careers. They will add depth to each of our lines, bring their competitive fire, and help us continue our program missions of being at our best in the classroom, on the field, and in the community.
“I am looking forward to being their coach. I am grateful these future Buckeyes, and their families, saw the vision we have for this program. I know they are eager to be a part of it and I am looking forward to having them on campus officially.”
The class includes two sets of club teammates: Carahaly, Hudson and Roberts all competed for the W.C. Eagles club team, and Bailey and Wallace competed for Focus Field Hockey.
