Synchronized Swimming hosted Wheaton University and the University of Michigan’s teams Saturday, January 12th for a Zero Waste event at McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion. The Buckeyes performed tremendously in their first meet of the season, with representation in the Solo, Duet, Trio, and Figure A and B competitions.
Laila Huric secured first place in the solo competition and was also a member of the winning duet alongside teammate Nikki Dzurko. Dzurko’s skills were utilized in the trio portion of the competition as well where the group of Nikki Dzurko, Wenjing Deng, and Rachel Jager came out on top. The athletes will now prepare for their next contests of the season on January 26th and 27th when the Scarlet team will travel to the University of Minnesota and the Gray team will head to Ann Arbor.
