COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Collecting All-America honors for the first time in her career, senior Letecia Wright finished fifth overall on Saturday at the 2011 NCAA Indoor Championships in the 60m hurdles.
The Baltimore, Md., native scored the lone points for Ohio State as her time of 8.10 gained four points for the Buckeyes. Clemson’s Brianna Rollins won the national title with the nation’s fastest time this season of 7.96. Behind her was the freshman from Baylor, Tiffani McReynolds (8.03), and rounding out the Top 3 was the University of Central Florida’s Jackie Coward (8.06).
With Wright’s points, Ohio State tied for 40th-place overall, the eighth-best finish in school history. Oregon won the championship with 67 points.
