COLUMBUS, Ohio The NCAA released its national championship qualifiers on Monday and senior Veronica Jatsek will be representing the Ohio State women’s track field team this weekend in the 2008 NCAA Indoor Championships at the Randal Tyson Track Center on the campus of the University of Arkansas.

Jatsek earned her trip to the championships by winning the Big Ten title in the weight throw with a season-best toss of 70 feet, 7 3/4 inches (21.53-meters). The toss is the second-best toss in the country this season. Jatsek is only behind Brittany Riley of South Illinois, who holds the world record in the weight throw. Jatsek will be looking to earn the third All-American honor of her career after winning the hammer throw in the 2007 outdoor season and the weight throw in the 2007 indoor season.
