COLUMBUS, Ohio The Ohio State women’s track and field team closed the 81st annual Texas Relays in Austin, Texas on Saturday.
Freshman Letecia Wright took 34th in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.43 and was followed by junior Bever-Leigh Holloway, who finished 37th in a time of 14.64.
Ohio State posted a ninth-place finish in the 4×100-meter relay one of the toughest fields in the country. The team posted a time of 46.24 in event and finished third in their heat. In the 4×400-meter relay took 11th and was the top Big Ten team in the event with a time of 3:46.89. In the 4×200-meter relay the Buckeyes grabbed ninth with a time of 1:37.25.
The Buckeyes will split up in two weeks, sending part of the team to the Mt. Sac Relays April 17-20 in Pomona, Calif., and others to the All-Ohio Championships April 18-19 in Cincinnati, Ohio.
