COLUMBUS, Ohio The Ohio State women’s track and field team completed action at the Sea Ray Relays in Knoxville Tenn., on Saturday.
In 4×100-meter relay the Buckeyes took fourth with a time of 45.61. The team of Bever-Leigh Holloway, Ayrizanna Favours, Letecia Wright and Jenna Griffin finished first in their heat. Favours then went on to take fourth-place in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.90. The mark is an NCAA regional qualifying time and is the 18th-best time in the country this season. In the 800-meter run Emily Thompson took second in her section and 28th overall with a time of 2:19.89.
Wright also placed eighth in the 100-meter hurdles with a regional qualifying time of 13.84.
Next weekend the Buckeyes will split up, sending part of the team to the Mt. Sac Relays April 17-20 in Pomona, Calif., and others to the All-Ohio Championships April 18-19 in Cincinnati, Ohio.
