COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s tennis team will travel to East Lansing, Mich., to compete in the Omni Hotels/ITA Midwest Regional Championships. The qualifying round will begin Thursday, the doubles main draw will begin Friday and the singles main draw will begin Saturday. The main draw for singles and doubles will conclude on Oct. 29. Michigan State will play host to the event at the MSU Indoor Tennis Facility.
Ohio State has three student-athletes in the main draw, five in the qualifying round and four doubles teams in the main draw. No. 69 Erica Fisk (Jr./Indianapolis, Ind.), No. 89 Sadhaf Pervez (Sr./Warren, N.J.) and Lindsey Williams (Jr./Beverly Hills, Mich.) are the Buckeyes who have pre-qualified and will begin play on Saturday. In the qualifying round, Jackie Leskovar (Jr./Cambridge, Ontario), Emily DeCamilla (So./Sacramento, Calif.), Lindsey Adams (So./Mercer Island, Wash.), Taryn Bowen (Jr./Columbus, Ohio) and Lindsay Bryan (So./New Orleans, La.) will need three wins in order to reach the main draw.
Doubles teams in the main draw include Pervez/Leskovar, Williams/DeCamilla, Bowen/Adams and Fisk/Meaghan Colville (Jr./Toronto, Ontario), This fall, Pervez is 8-4 in singles play and 2-1 in doubles. Fisk has posted an 8-3 singles record and a 5-2 doubles mark. The Buckeyes have combined for a singles record of 53-40.
