COLUMBUS, Ohio – The start time for the Ohio State vs. Illinois women’s tennis match Saturday, originally set for noon, has been changed to 11 a.m., Chuck Merzbacher, OSU head coach, announced. The Buckeyes and Fighting Illini will face off at the Stickney Tennis Center.
Ohio State, in second place in the Big Ten, wraps up its regular season at 11 a.m. Sunday against conference-leading Northwestern at the Stickney Tennis Center.
The Buckeyes put their program-record 13-game home winning streak on the line this weekend. The squad’s 13 wins at home is a program best, while its overall mark of 18-4 ties the OSU record for wins in a season.
Sunday marks the final home match for Buckeye seniors Monica Rincon (Lapeer, Mich./West) and Claudia Castro (Dublin, Ohio/Aquinas (Wis.). Rincon, who leads Ohio State with 24 victories this season, became just the second player in program history to reach the 100-win mark after posting two wins last weekend.
