COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 59-ranked Ohio State captured all straight-sets in doubles and singles to defeat Akron 9-0 today at the Jesse Owens West Recreation Center. The Buckeyes posted their second win this season with wins by Briana Harris (So., Bradenton, Fla.) over Akron’s Ariana Rojas (6-1, 6-0) at the No. 1 singles spot and Michelle Matko (Fr., Aurora, Ill.) defeated Miren Sorondo at the No. 2 position (6-1, 6-3).

The No. 7-ranked doubles team Harris and Kristy Dascoli (So., Bradenton, Fla.) captured their second shutout of the season against Akron’s team of Becky Schrager and Donna Peters (8-0) to help the Buckeyes take the lead.
