COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s tennis team will compete in the first round of the NCAA Championships on Saturday, May 15 against Louisiana State in Malibu, Calif. Time of match to be announced.

“We are very excited and happy to be in the NCAAs,” head coach Chuck Merzbacher said. “But nowhere satisfied. We want to make some noise and there is no better time to do it than when we are up against the best.”

The No. 44-ranked Buckeyes finished the regular season with a 14-10 overall record and 6-5 in the Big Ten. This marks only the second time in Ohio State women’s tennis history that a Buckeye squad has qualified for the NCAA Championships. In 1996, Ohio State lost to Minnesota in the first round.
