Columbus, Ohio – Ohio State women’s tennis senior Erica Fisk (Indianapolis, Ind./ Pike) fell in the quarterfinals of the singles draw and junior Emily DeCamilla (Sacramento, Calif./ Maryland) won a consolation match as play concluded at the Fall Desert Collegiate Classic in Palm Springs, Calif.

Fisk won two matches Friday to reach the quarterfinals, but lost to No. 64 ranked Natalie Braverman of Pepperdine, 6-3, 6-2.

DeCamilla’s victory came in the consolation round. She topped Steffanie Balzart in three sets, 1-6, 7-5, 6-2. Prior to the win she was defeated by Ristine Olson of Texas.

Junior Jackie Leskovar (Cambridge, Ontario/ North Carolina State) also competed Saturday, losing to Carolin Walter of Baylor, 7-5, 6-2, in consolation play.

The doubles team of Leskovar and Fisk faced Vermuelen and Matias of Southern California and were beaten 8-6.

With their play at the Fall Desert Collegiate Classic, the Buckeyes fall schedule is complete. They return to action with a dual match at home Jan. 25 against the Tennessee Volunteers.
