COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s swimming and diving team (3-5) defeated Ball State, 140-98, in a co-ed meet at the Mike Peppe Aquatic Center to open the winter portion of the schedule. OSU won eleven of the thirteen events.

The Buckeyes had multiple double-winners. Stephanie Raezer (Fr., Newark, Del./Gladgow) won both the 1000 freestyle (10:29.18) and the 500 freestyle (5:07.68). Other double-winners were Amanda Treleaven (Fr., Colonel Light, Australia/Norwood) in the 200 freestyle (1:54.31) and the 100 backstroke (:58.45), Katie Severson (Fr., Cincinnati, OH/Lakota West) won the 50 freestyle (:25.02) and the 100 freestyle (:53.43) and Kristin Sendroski (Jr., Garden City, NY/H. Frank Carey) won the 200 Medley (2:08.53) and the 100 Fly (:57.65).

On the boards, Natalia Diea (Jr., Austin, Texas/Texas University) swept both events, scoring 193.10 on the one-meter dive and 201.7 on the three-meter dive.

The Buckeyes play host to Indiana Saturday, 1 p.m. in a co-ed meet at the Mike Peppe Aquatic Center.
