COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State women’s lacrosse student-athlete Kelly Kremer (Fr., Kennett Square, Pa.) has been named the American Lacrosse Conference Rookie of the Year in voting by the league coaches. She was named to the ALC second team while Regina Oliver (Sr., Pottstown, Pa.) and Brandie Williams (Sr., Hatboro, Pa.) were first team selections.

Kremer was the top scorer for Ohio State this season with 44 points. She had a team-high 38 goals, adding six assists. Kremer collected 22 ground balls, 17 draw controls and 12 caused turnovers. She posted a career-high six goals against Johns Hopkins and scored goals in 15 of 16 games this season.

Oliver, a four-time first team ALC selection, was second in scoring for the Buckeyes with 34 points. She scored 29 goals and had five assists. Oliver recorded team-highs of 70 ground balls, 51 caused turnovers and 27 draw controls for the Buckeyes. She ranked first in the ALC and the nation in ground balls (4.31 per game) and caused turnovers (3.19). Oliver scored goals in 15 of 16 games this season including a career-high five against North Carolina. She also recorded a career-high 11 ground balls against Stanford.

Williams posted 10 points this season with seven goals and three assists. She collected 48 ground balls, 43 caused turnovers and 15 draw controls. She ranked second in the ALC and the nation in caused turnovers (2.69). Williams recorded career-highs of eight ground balls at Davidson and seven caused turnovers at Northwestern.

Ohio State finished the season 6-10 overall and had a 3-3 record in the American Lacrosse Conference.
