COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s ice hockey team (1-6-1 overall, 1-4-1 WCHA) lost to undefeated No. 6 Minnesota-Duluth (6-0-0 overall, 6-0-0 WCHA), 7-1, Sunday at Duluth, Minn. in the second of a two-game series. The Buckeyes fell to UMD, 4-2, on Saturday.

Andrea Carlson (Fr., Hibbing, Minn.) scored the lone goal for the Buckeyes at 8:11 in the first period with an unassisted shot that sailed into the net over the right shoulder of the UMD goaltender. It was the first goal of the season for Carlson.

OSU goalie April Stojak (Fr., Kent, Ohio) posted a career-high 44 saves for the game.

The Bulldogs were led by by forward Hanna Sikio who notched a hat trick with three goals and added an assist.

Ohio State returns home to face non-conference opponent Findlay on Friday, Nov. 5 at 7 p.m. at the OSU Ice Arena. On Sunday, Nov. 7 the Buckeyes travel to Findlay, Ohio for a 2 p.m. game with the Oilers.
