COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s ice hockey team (1-6-1 overall, 1-4-1 WCHA) lost to undefeated No. 6 Minnesota-Duluth (6-0-0 overall, 6-0-0 WCHA), 7-1, Sunday at Duluth, Minn. in the second of a two-game series. The Buckeyes fell to UMD, 4-2, on Saturday. %^$

Andrea Carlson (Fr., Hibbing, Minn.) scored the lone goal for the Buckeyes at 8:11 in the first period with an unassisted shot that sailed into the net over the right shoulder of the UMD goaltender. It was the first goal of the season for Carlson.%^$

OSU goalie April Stojak (Fr., Kent, Ohio) posted a career-high 44 saves for the game.%^$

%^$The Bulldogs were led by by forward Hanna Sikio who notched a hat trick with three goals and added an assist.%^$

Ohio State returns home to face non-conference opponent Findlay on Friday, Nov. 5 at 7 p.m. at the OSU Ice Arena. On Sunday, Nov. 7 the Buckeyes travel to Findlay, Ohio for a 2 p.m. game with the Oilers.%^$
