COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s ice hockey team opened the Western Collegiate Hockey Association portion of its schedule with a 2-1 loss to Wisconsin tonight at the OSU Ice Arena. OSU falls to 0-3 overall and 0-1 in the WCHA while Wisconsin improves its record to 1-2 overall and 1-2 in the conference.

The Badgers jumped on the board first when forward Kendra Antony found the back of the net at 11:03 in the first period. Ohio State evened the score at one early in the third when forward Shana Frost (Fr., Frankford, Ont.) notched her second goal of the season with an assist from teammate Lindsay Ogren (Fr., North Oaks, Minn.) With 8:51 remaining in the game, UW’s Michelle Sikich shot the puck into the upper left corner of the net for the game-winning goal.

The Buckeyes take on Wisconsin again tomorrow night (Oct. 16) at the OSU Ice Arena. Face-off is scheduled for 4 p.m.
