COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s ice hockey team lost to No. 6 ranked Northeastern tonight at the OSU Ice Arena. %^$ %^$Northeastern jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first three minutes of the game off two quick goals from forward Colleen Coen. Huskie forward Brooke Whitney added a third goal at 5:02 in the first period to put NU up, 3-0. OSU freshman Lindsay Ogren (North Oaks, Minn.) put the Buckeyes on the board at 6:28 in the first period, scoring the first-ever Buckeye goal off an assist from teammate Emily Hudak (Fr., Marblehead, Mass.).%^$

The Huskies added three more goals to make the score, 6-1, heading into the third period. OSU forward Shana Frost (Frankford, Ont.) scored the second Buckeye goal with an unassisted shot at 0:22 in the third period. The Huskies responded with their seventh goal at 1:28 in the final period. %^$

%^$The Buckeyes are back in action on Fri., Oct. 15 (7 p.m.) and Sat., Oct. 16 (4 p.m.) when they host WCHA foe Wisconsin at the OSU Ice Arena.
