COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s golf team jumped out to a seven-stroke lead over Indiana after the first 36 holes of play Friday at the Big Ten Championship, hosted by Purdue at the par-72 Kampen Course.%^$ %^$ OSU fired rounds of 310 and 313 on the first day. Those two scores are the two lowest scores for the tournament thus far.

%^$The Buckeyes were paced on day one by Amber Amstutz (Jr., Leo, Ind.) who fired a 149 (+5) to grab the lead in the tournament over defending champion Erin Carney of Indiana. Natalie Mosher (Sr., New Philadelphia, Ohio) is also in the top 10 for Ohio State after firing a 155 (+11). She currently is in a tie for sixth place with Iowa’s K.C. Mullen.

%^$ Play continues Saturday at 9 a.m. with 18 holes, while 18 more are scheduled for Sunday.%^$
