COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s golf team holds second place after one round at the Indiana Invitational, just three strokes back of Indiana. OSU fired a 317 (+21) Saturday despite the inclement weather conditions at the par-74 Indiana University Golf Course.

OSU was paced in the opening round by Mollie Fankhauser (Fr., Dublin, Ohio), who shot a 76 (+2) and stands one stroke behind Indiana’s Natalie Tucker. Kelly Moskal (So., Hinckley, Ohio) fired a 79 (+5) and shares a piece of eighth place, while Mary Lidester (Fr., Lafayette, Ind.) registered one of her best rounds of the season, a six-over 80, as she earned a share of 13th place after one round of play.

Due to the winter-like conditions, one of the two scheduled rounds on Saturday was cancelled and the tournament was shortened to 36 holes. The tournament concludes Sunday with an 11 a.m. shotgun start.
