Quotes

Lindsay Knowlton, Ohio State senior
On the third round
“It was funny, because I didn’t play that badly on the front nine. I just didn’t get anything up and down and they were fairly simple chips. They just kind of got away from me. Every putt I had I left about two inches short. It was more frustrating and the bogeys kept adding up.

“On No. 9, I putted from about a foot for birdie, so that helped. On No. 10, I made a good putt for birdie and on No. 11 I made a really good putt for birdie. That helped so much. I was hitting it really close to the pin and giving myself chances.

On her last collegiate round Friday
“It’s really weird and doesn’t seem like a reality yet. But it’s exciting.”

Carling Coffing, Ohio State freshman
On the third round
“I started off really well and I was kind of hoping it would be a lower number. With the wind and everything, it was nice to at least have an improvement. On the front nine I made a lot more putts and seemed to get up and down. I had a few nice up and downs from the sand. I still made mistakes here and there. I got a little excited I think, on my good round, but I had a pretty good short game.”
