%^$COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s golf team recorded a 312 (+24) Wednesday in the second round of the NCAA Championships, held at the par-72 El Campeon Golf Course in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla. The Buckeyes are tied with New Mexico for 21st place with a 625 at the midway point of the tournament.%^$

%^$After firing a team-low 77 on Tuesday, Allison Hanna (Fr., Portland, Ore./David Douglas) followed it up with OSU’s best score on Wednesday as she shot a 75. Ashley Lowery (Jr., West Lafayette, Ind./Harrison) improved from her first-round 78 to post a 76 in the second round.%^$

%^$Mollie Fankhauser (So., Dublin, Ohio/Cols. School for Girls) posted a 78 in the second round, while Natalie Aber (Jr., Akron, Ohio/Springfield) carded an 83. Jennifer Borowiec (Fr., South Lyon, Mich./Mercy) shot an 85 to round out the Buckeyes’ scorecard.%^$

%^$The battle for the national championship is fierce, as eight teams are within 10 strokes of co-leaders Duke and Oklahoma State, who are knotted at 592 (+16). Tulsa fired the low round of the day on Tuesday, a 3-over-par 291, to catapult from 18th place into seventh.%^$
