COLUMBUS, Ohio – The 12th-ranked Ohio State women’s golf team shot a 311 (+27) Wednesday in the first round of the NCAA Championships, held at the par-71 Tulsa Country Club in Tulsa, Okla. The Buckeyes currently stand in a tie for 11th place with Furman.

Amber Amstutz (Jr., Leo, Ind.) paced the Buckeyes with a 74 (+3) Wednesday, which placed her in a three-way tie for ninth place. Lisa Strom (Jr., North Wales, Pa.) fired a 76 and stands in a tie for 24th place.

No. 1 Duke leads the competition by 12 strokes over Arizona State after firing a 288 (+4). The competition resumes Thursday and continues through Saturday.
