COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s golf team notched its best finish of the season Sunday, taking second place at the Indiana Invitational despite frigid weather conditions. The Buckeyes fired a 639 (+47) at the par-74 Indiana University Golf Course, falling just two strokes shy of the host Hoosiers. OSU shot a 322 in the second round – the second-lowest score of the round as the teams endured freezing conditions and rainy weather which forced the cancellation of one of the three scheduled rounds.

Lisa Strom (Sr., North Wales, Pa.) was on fire in the second round, firing a one-over-par 75 as she moved from a 24th-place tie in the first round to a fifth-place finish. Strom finished with a nine-over 157. Her finish was the highest for any Buckeye this season. Mollie Fankhauser (Fr., Dublin, Ohio), notched her third-consecutive top-10 finish after shooting a 158 (+10), leaving her in sixth place.

Mary Lidester (Fr., Lafayette, Ind.) and Kelly Moskal (So., Hinckley, Ohio) earned the best finishes of their OSU careers, tying for 16th place with a 162 (+14). Lidester carded an 82 in the second round, while Moskal shot an 83.

Ohio State takes the next weekend off and returns to action Apr. 22-23, hosting the Lady Buckeye Spring Invitational at the OSU Scarlet Course.
