COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s basketball team is ranked No. 2 in the latest Associated Press poll, released Monday. The Buckeyes are 21-2 overall, 8-1 in Big Ten play and have won 10-consecutive games. No. 2 is the highest ranking for any Ohio State squad in program history.

The 2004-05 Buckeyes were ranked No. 3 twice in the previous two weeks, which tied the previous best ranking for any Buckeye squad. The 1992-93 Ohio State team was ranked No. 3 twice in March of 1993 before OSU went to the Final Four that season and fell to Texas Tech, 84-82.

The women’s basketball team joins two Buckeye teams ranked among the Top 2 in the country. The Buckeye fencing and men’s gymnastics squads are both ranked first in the nation.

The Buckeyes play host to Indiana at 2 p.m. EST Sunday in Value City Arena.
