COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s golf team, led by a first-place finish by Lisa Strom (Jr., North Wales, Pa.), took second place at the Indiana Invitational this weekend in Bloomington, Ind. The Buckeyes shot a 937 (+49) on the par-74 course as they fell just three strokes short of Indiana, who won their home tournament for the second straight year.

Strom won her first career championship, shooting a nine-over-par 231, which tied her for first place with Ohio State’s Natalie Mosher (Sr., New Philadelphia, Ohio) and Kristi Weichert of Minnesota. Strom then went on and won the tournament on the second playoff hole. Strom’s first-place finish gives Ohio State its first medalist honor of the season. Mosher’s second-place finish is her second consecutive runner-up finish.

The Buckeyes will take this week off as they prepare for the Lady Buckeye Spring Invitational, scheduled for April 24-25 at OSU’s Scarlet Golf Course.
