COLUMBUS, Ohio Kelly Haggerty, who leads the No. 16 Buckeyes in scoring with 35 goals and 59 points, has been added to the watch list for the prestigious Tewaaraton Award, given to the nation’s top player.
The Tewaaraton Award Foundation announced new additions to its 2009 Collegiate Men’s and Women’s Watch Lists Tuesday. The players on this list were nominated by coaches across all three divisions and are early season hopefuls for the 2009 Tewaaraton Trophy sponsored by Brine.

Haggerty, a junior from West Chester, Pa., set the Ohio State single-game record with eight goals, her eighth multiple-goal game of the season. With two assists, she finished with 10 points for the game.
Standing at 8-1 on the season, Ohio State returns to action Sunday hosting Canisius at 1 p.m. in a match at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium; admission is free and there will be a postgame autograph session.
