The 2010 winners of the prestigious Big Ten Medal of Honor, given annually to the most outstanding senior student-athletes at each conference school, will be announced Wednesday. Leading up to the 43rd Annual Scholar-Athlete Dinner, the 11 Medal of Honor finalists will be featured on OhioStateBuckeyes.com.

Julia Tikhonova graduates from Ohio State after leaving a mark on and off the strips for the Buckeyes. The Israel native is a three-time NCAA participant, earning second-team All-American honors after a fifth place finish her freshman year. She helped the Scarlet and Gray to three Midwest Fencing Conference championships during her four years of competition, as well as contributing to the Buckeyes’ 2008 national championship squad. Tikhonova, a business major, is a three-time OSU Scholar-Athlete and two-time Academic All-Big Ten selection.
