Day 6: March 23rd
After another morning of choices such as sleeping in, the chore separating laundry or  Bob Evans breakfast, my super spring break roomie (Melanie Nichols) and I enjoyed our morning sleeping in until 11 a.m. because of feeling a little under the weather. Once we woke up, it was time for game day preparation: showers, curls, braids, eyeblack and bows. It doesn’t get much better than that ladies and gentleman.

We loaded the bus at 1 p.m. to head to USF campus while stopping to get lunch on the way. All of us were very excited to see the choice of Jason’s Deli. After lunch, we headed to the field as our amazing bus driver Gary made his own road to get us as close as possible to the field (he has been a great bus driver all trip and his selection of Tupac music is legit). It was game time!

After a fine performance by Mel in the circle, solid defense on the field, and another BOMB (toota loo!) by Sam Marder, we came off the field with a 1-0 victory. We thanked our fans and headed back to the hotel. Dinner was on our own but it was an early night for all of us as it was an early 6 a.m. wake up call.

Until we meet again, good night and go bucks!

Day 5: March 22nd
After two days of rough play on the ball field and cancellation because of severe weather Sunday, we woke up Monday morning ready for a new start.

Some of us began the morning sleeping in through breakfast while others of us enjoyed a wonderful breakfast at Bob Evans before we all headed to the local ball fields for a light practice at 11 a.m.

After practice, we headed back to the hotel to freshen up before Coach Beach and athletic trainer Jen Novak took us to Clearwater Beach for the rest of the day. We had three and a half hours of laying out, shopping, playing football and pedicures before we decided as a team that we definitely “RUN CLEARWATER.”

At 6:15 p.m., we headed back to the hotel for the rest of the night to relax and get ready for our game tomorrow. Until we meet again on our journey to Oklahoma City, good night and Go Bucks!

Day 1: March 18th
First of all ladies and gentlemen,  I would like start the week off by giving a special shout out to the one and only duece (aka Dee Dee Hillman) on her lovely 21st birthday! Happy Happy Birthday, girlie! Also to the Leprechaun (aka Trevor Reeder) in Selinas, California (a YouTube video soon to come explaining why Saint Patrick’s Day is his favorite holiday).

We loaded the bus outside of our stadium to begin our six day, eight game journey to Florida, the Sunshine State. With all of us dressed to impress and super excited about having absolutely nothing to studying, smiles and laughter filled the air on the way airport. As for myself personally, I was wondering when we were going to eat because the PBnJ (Jiff-extra crunchy and only strawberry on wheat) and orange was not holding me over.

When we landed in Tampa we headed straight for dinner. The restaurant of choice: Carrabba’s Italian Grill. After a delicious dinner, we checked into the hotel and it was straight to bed to get some rest for our games against Syracuse and LIU. Until we meet again, good night and Go Bucks!
