Buckeye co-captain shoots second ace of career on Bryan Park Champions Course
COLUMBUS, Ohio – In preparation for the Bryan National Collegiate this weekend, the Ohio State women’s golf team had a round of practice Thursday on the par 72, 6,386-yard Bryan Park Champions Course in Greensboro, N.C. It was there, on the 162-yard No. 12 hole, that senior co-captain Gemma Webster recorded the second hole-in-one of her career.
Webster, a native of Glasgow, Scotland, previously recorded a hole-in-one during the third round of the 2007 Mason Rudolph Women’s Championship (Sept. 14-16) where the Buckeyes placed 17th.
The No. 27 Buckeyes, who tied for the fourth against a competitive field at the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic last weekend, are set to begin the three-day, 54-hole competition Friday at 9 a.m. from the 10th tee. Ohio State last competed at the Bryan National Collegiate in 2007 where the squad finished in ninth.
Live scoring for the tournament will be available at www.golfstat.com or at the women’s golf schedule page at OhioStateBuckeyes.com.
