COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State junior Daniel Wetterich carded a final round 2-over 73 on Wednesday at the NCAA Columbus Regional to finish in a tie for 46th.
After not being able to complete the final two holes of his second round on Tuesday because of threating weather, Wetterich started Wednesday bright and early at 7 a.m. He finished-off a second-round 75 and then opened his final round with a birdie at the first.
He then made the only eagle of the tournament at the par-5 fourth hole and would turn in even-par 36. Wetterich made another birdie at the par-4 tenth and then holed his second shot at the par-4 16th for his second eagle of the round. He capped the tournament and his season with a nice up-and-down out of the greenside bunker on No. 18 for a 73.
Wetterich led the Buckeyes this season with six top-20 finishes and a scoring average of 72.2. That helped him not only earn a spot in the NCAA Columbus Regional but the first All-Big Ten honor of his
