COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State safety Tyler Moeller has been granted a sixth year of eligibility by the NCAA, the school learned today.

Coach Jim Tressel was informed by the NCAA today and he informed Moeller and the entire squad after practice of the news that Moeller, who has been out since suffering a shoulder injury against Eastern Michigan, was granted an additional year of eligibility.

Moeller, a 6-0, 210-pounder from Cincinnati and Colerain High School, will graduate in the spring with a business degree. He missed the 2009 campaign while recovering from an assault that summer.
