%^$COLUMBUS, Ohio— Members of the Ohio State men’s and women’s track and field teams competed at the 106th Penn Relays Carnival Thursday and Friday at Franklin Field in Philadelphia, Pa. The relays conclude tomorrow.%^$

%^$The Buckeyes received a strong performance from the men’s 4X400-meter relay team, as it ran a team season-best 3:06.33 to advance to Saturday’s final. Ian Connor (Jr., Lexington, Ohio/Northmor Local) recorded a team season-best 8:47.21 in the steeplechase championship to place eighth.%^$

%^$In addition to the 4X400 team, two other men’s relay teams advanced to Saturday’s finals. The 4X100-meter relay team finished third in its heat (13th (tied) overall) with a 41.08 to advance, while the 4X200 team placed first in its heat (fourth overall) with a 1:36.10 to reach the final.%^$

%^$On the women’s side, the 4X200-meter relay team was second in its heat and sixth overall with a time of 1:24.9 to advance to the final. Ayanna Reece (Sr., Bronx, N.Y./George Washington) placed third in the 400-meter hurdles (58.86). The women’s 4X100 team placed seventh in the championship with a time of 45.36.%^$
