COLUMBUS, Ohio – Tickets for the inaugural Ohio Hockey Classic at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, co-hosted by Ohio State and WBNS-TV, are now on sale. The tournament, which matches Central Collegiate Hockey Association schools Ohio State and Miami against Western Collegiate Hockey Association teams Colorado College and Minnesota State, will be held Dec. 29-30.

Fans can purchase tickets at the Nationwide Arena Ticket Office, at all Ticketmaster ticket centers, either by phone (614-431-3600) or on-line at ticketmaster.com, and at the Blue Jackets Zones located at Chiller Easton and Chiller Dublin. Two games will be played each day. Reserved tickets are $11 and include both games.

In the tournament, the Buckeyes will take on the Mavericks of Minnesota State at 8:05 p.m. Dec. 29, preceded by a game between the RedHawks and Colorado College Tigers at 5:05 p.m. On Dec. 30, Ohio State will face off against CC at 8:05 p.m., while Miami will play Minnesota State at 5:05 p.m.

Ohio State opens its season Oct. 9 against New Hampshire in the Ice Breaker Tournament in Durham, N.H. The Buckeyes open their home season against CCHA rival Miami at 7:05 p.m. Oct. 21 in Value City Arena, site of the 2005 NCAA Frozen Four.
