1994 1st-Team All-American pitcher MATT BEAUMONT:

The Big Ten Pitcher of the Year went 11-1 and led the league in strikeouts, fanning 104 opposing batters.

The Rittman, Ohio native fronted the Buckeyes to 49-9 overall record and the conference regular season title (25-2). Head coach Bob Todd led Ohio State to the best record in the nation that season as the Buckeyes defeated Michigan to win the Big Ten tournament.

Beaumont, ranked 10th all-time at OSU with 25 career wins, was selected in the fourth round of the MLB Draft by the California (Anaheim) Angels. He was inducted into the Ohio State Athletics Hall of Fame in 2013. 

1994 Honored to be Honored Saturday

Beaumont, Todd and the 1994 Buckeyes will be honored at the game this Saturday vs. Iowa at Nick Swisher Field in Bill Davis Stadium. Beaumont will throw out the first pitch and the team will hold a meet-and-greet after the conclusion of the game.
