STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – The Penn State women’s lacrosse team used a late game rally to hold off Ohio State 10-8 Friday evening. The Lions move their record to 10-4, while the Buckeyes fall to 7-5.%^$

%^$The Lions jumped out to 6-0 advantage to start the game. The Lions took a 6-2 lead into halftime. The Buckeyes came out strong to start the second half, scoring six unanswered goals to lead 8-6. However, Penn State scored the last four goals to win.%^$

%^$Erin Andersen (So., Huntington, N.Y.) and Celeste Cianfrani (So., Telford, Pa.) each scored three goals to lead the Buckeyes. Megan Barnett snagged 11 saves.%^$

%^$After the game Ohio State coach Sue Stimmel said she was proud of her team’s effort. “I’m disappointed that all that effort didn’t get the victory,” she added.%^$

%^$Ohio State will play again on Sunday at Bucknell.%^$
