COLUMBUS, Ohio – Sophomore forward Taylor Kuehl has been named WCHA Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced Wednesday.
Kuehl, a native of Minnetrista, Minn., recorded her first career hat trick in the 10-1 win over Bemidji State, Oct. 27. Kuehl added an assist on the night to help her finish with a career best four-point game. She scored a goal Friday night as well in the 4-1 victory over BSU.
Kuehl is second on the team in goals scored this season with eight and has now found the back of the net six times in the last four games. She has 10 total points in 10 games played this season.
Five weeks into the season the Buckeyes have already received three player of the week honors from the league. Redshirt junior goaltender Chelsea Knapp was named Defensive Player of the Week Oct. 10, and senior forward Paige Semenza was named Offensive Player of the Week Oct. 17.
No. 10 Ohio State travels to St. Cloud, Minn., to take on the Huskies of St. Cloud State, Nov. 2-3. Game times are set for 8:07 p.m. ET on Friday and 3:07 p.m. ET Saturday.
