COLUMBUS, Ohio — Nicolas Szerszen extended his reign as the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association’s Offensive Player of the Week for another seven days, selected by the conference office for the second straight week. The Buckeye sophomore attacked .622 and averaged 5.17 kills per set during a pair of Ohio State sweeps over George Mason and Erskine.

He opened with an 18-kill, 9-dig performance against the GMU Patriots. Szerszen committed a lone attacking error on 22 attempts, leading to a .773 hitting efficiency. He then followed it up with 13 more kills and a pair of service aces versus Erskine while swinging at a .478 clip (13-2-23).

Szerszen has already corralled four MIVA weekly awards just three weeks into his second collegiate campaign – doing so twice as a freshman as well.
