COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State synchronized swimming team closed its season Saturday with a fourth-place finish in the team final at the United States National Championships in Federal Way, Wash. The Buckeyes finished with a score of 95.500 in the event.

Senior Lindsay Newbill (Laguana Hills, Calif./Laguana Hills) and sophomore Becky Kim (Walnut Creek, Calif./Northgate) earned a seventh-place finish in the duet final with a score of 93.333.

The Santa Clara Aquamaids won its 13th consecutive title after finishing with a score of 97.333. The duet of Christina Jones and Andrea Nott, also from Santa Clara, won the duet with a mark of 97.833. Katie Norris from Stanford claimed first-place honors in the solo event, finishing with a score of 97.833.

The U.S. National Team II roster was announced Saturday after the final phase of the Team II trials was held Thursday. Ohio State’s Heather Burdick (Sr., Walnut Creek, Calif./Northgate), Leah Pinette (Fr., Bristol, Conn./Bristol Central) and Leayn Pinette (Fr., Bristol, Conn./Bristol Central) were named to the roster.
