COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 19 Ohio State University women’s volleyball team will play its first true home match of the season when hosting Northwestern Wednesday (Sept. 28) night at 6:30 p.m. ET, broadcast live by Big Ten Network. The Buckeyes will then go back on the road destined for Lincoln, Nebraska, to take on the defending national champion and top-ranked Huskers in an 8:30 p.m. ET Saturday night showdown on BTN Plus.

HISTORY WITH THE WILDCATS AND HUSKERS
Ohio State owns a 53-20 advantage in the all-time series with Northwestern, including a 27-6 mark inside St. John Arena. The Buckeyes have won three in a row and 12 of 14 overall under head coach Geoff Carlston.
The Buckeyes have also found recent success versus Nebraska, arising victorious in three of the last four meetings. Ohio State is 3-3 all-time in Lincoln and 6-10 overall. The Buckeyes have left Lincoln with victory in hand following each of the two most recent visits (2012 and 2014).
NATIONAL TELEVISION EXPOSURE
Wednesday’s match vs. Northwestern marks the first of at least a half dozen Buckeye matches televised on national television this season. In addition to the bout with NU, four more OSU contests will be broadcast live by Big Ten Network while October 9’s rivalry match-up with Michigan is set for an ESPN airing.

Ohio State sits at No. 19 in this week’s AVCA Coaches Poll. The Buckeyes are one of nine Big Ten teams ranked in the Top-25. The Big Ten Conference combined for an overall non-conference record of 122-36 (.772).
