COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State’s Natalie Tomoguchi (Sr., Irvine, Calif.) has been named to the GTE Academic All-District IV University Division Softball first team. The senior is an actuarial science major and will graduate in June.
“Natalie has always taken great pride in her academics,” OSU head coach Linda Kalafatis said. “This is an honor she has worked hard for and will definitely cap off her career in a nice way.”
The District IV team is made up of student-athletes from Division I schools in Alabama, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and Tennessee. To be nominated, student-athletes must be a starter or important reserve, carry a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or higher. Team members are selected by a vote of members of the College Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) within the district.
The GTE Academic All-District Team is part of the GTE Academic All-America program. First team selections will appear on the national ballot for the GTE Academic All-America Softball team.
