COLUMBUS, Ohio – Sixteen home matches – including 10 against Big Ten competition – highlights the 2017 Ohio State women’s volleyball schedule. The challenging 32-match slate potentially rivals the team’s Top-10 strength of schedule from 2016. Click here for the complete schedule.

Ohio State’s 12 non-conference opponents combined for a .701 winning percentage during the 2016 campaign (270-115). That same group also captured 10 conference crowns, bringing home regular season or tournament titles (or both as is the case for Lipscomb from the Atlantic Sun, Dayton from the Atlantic 10 and Conference USA’s Western Kentucky).

On the Big Ten home slate, the Buckeyes welcome two Final Four participants – Minnesota and Nebraska – as well as three other teams that made the NCAA Tournament: Michigan, Penn State and Purdue. The conference slate opens on Wednesday, Sept. 30 with a match-up against Maryland and concludes on Saturday, Nov. 25 when Illinois comes to St. John Arena.

Ohio State heads west to Provo, Utah, in the season’s opening weekend (Aug. 25-26). The Buckeyes will face the host Cougars of BYU (Aug. 26), Saint Louis (Aug. 25) and UTRGV (Aug. 25). Next up is the 13th annual Sports Imports D.C. Koehl Classic Sept. 1-2 in Columbus, Ohio. St. John Arena welcomes in Lipscomb, Missouri State and Oakland for a round-robin competition.

After a trip to Conway, S.C. and the Coastal Carolina Tournament – which features match-ups with Florida International, Notre Dame and Coastal Carolina – the Buckeyes return home to host their second tournament of the preseason. Western Kentucky, Northern Illinois and Dayton will come to St. John Arena on Sept. 15 and the Capital Center in Bexley (Sept. 16) for the Buckeye Invitational.

The Big Ten gauntlet features home dates with Maryland, Penn State, Rutgers, Minnesota, Michigan, Purdue, Indiana, Nebraska, Iowa and Illinois. Last year, the league sent nine teams to the NCAA Tournament. For more information on single game, season and group ticket packages, click here.
