COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s gymnastics team has been honored for its academic efforts, as six Buckeyes earned 1999-00 Academic All-Big Ten laurels. To be eligible for selection, student-athletes must be a letterwinner in at least their second academic year and carry a career grade-point average of 3.0 or better.

Senior Jill McMillon (Tipp City, Ohio) earned the distinction for the third-consecutive season, while Lacey Hudson (So., Peachtree City, Ga.) won the award for the second time in the last three seasons.

Four Buckeye sophomores earned the award for the first time – Jill Tucker (So., Tallmadge, Ohio), Stephanie Buerkel (So., West Chester, Pa.), Amanda Allen (So., Troy, Mich.) and Mary Beth Doerr (So., Akron, Ohio).

Thirty Ohio State student-athletes won Academic-All Big Ten honors during the winter season.
