COLUMBUS, Ohio This weekend marks the second-annual Scarlet and Gray Days on the Ohio State campus, as Buckeye athletic teams are in action Friday through Sunday. Fans can fill their schedules with a men’s lacrosse game vs. Notre Dame followed by the football spring game, a three-game baseball series vs. Big Ten foe Northwestern and a softball doubleheader vs. Oakland Sunday. Ohio State students with valid Buck ID receive free admission to all events this weekend.

The first fireworks of the season follow the Friday baseball game vs. Northwestern, with first pitch set for 6:35 p.m. Baseball will take on the Wildcats in game 2 at 1:05 p.m. Saturday and the teams close out the series at 1:05 p.m. Sunday. It will be a FunDay Sunday, where fans can purchase a ticket, hot dog and a soda for just $7. It also is Columbus Zoo Day at the ballpark, with animals from the zoo in attendance. Postgame the Buckeye players will be signing autographs and kids can run the bases. General admission tickets are $5 for adults, $4 for seniors (65+) and $3 for students. Ohio State students with valid Buck ID and children 6 and under get in free. Reserved box seats are $10 each.

Ohio Stadium activities begin with the “Showdown in the Shoe” at 11 a.m. Saturday when the men’s lacrosse team takes on conference rival Notre Dame for a share of the Great Western Lacrosse League title. When the Buckeye lacrosse team downed Denver in the Shoe last year, a NCAA lacrosse regular-season crowd of 29,601 watched the victory.

Following the lacrosse game is the LiFEsports Spring Football Game, with the Scarlet and Gray facing off. Tickets, which include both the football and lacrosse games, are $5 each, with Ohio State students with valid Buck ID and children 6 and under admitted free. All seating is general admission, with games opening at 10 a.m.

The Ohio State Marching Band will perform at pregame and halftime of both the lacrosse and football games Saturday.

Softball takes on Oakland at 2 p.m. Sunday at New Buckeye Field, with free admission for all.

In addition, the Team Shop will be having a blowout sale for the Spring game at Ohio Stadium Saturday in sections 12A and 11A, with up to 75 percent off all items.
