COLUMBUS, Ohio: Ohio State punter B.J. Sander has been selected as the Big Ten special teams player of the week following the Buckeyes’ 21-20 win at Penn State Saturday.

Sander averaged 46.3 yards per punt on six kicks at Penn State and had punts of 54 and 62 yards. Three of his punts were downed inside the Nittany Lions’ 20-yard line.

On the year, Sander, a senior from Cincinnati and a candidate for the Ray Guy Award, is averaging 43.4 yards per kick.

Sander is the sixth Ohio State player this year to win player-of-the-week honors.
